The local park Hembygdsparken

East of the church, in the centre of Hässleholm, at the end of the street Första Avenyen, there is an oasis for those who seek rest, activities or cultural experiences. Let children play for a while and feed the ducks in the Homestead park (Hembygdsparken). Enjoy a cup of coffee or a waffle in the cosy coffee shop. In the park there are around 10 historical buildings and in the folk museum you can look in the clog maker’s workshop and see exhibitions about local history and archaeological objects from Mölleröd, the oldest known settlement in Sweden, located just outside Hässleholm.

The playground in the park Djupadal

In the park Djupadal, close to the street Esplanadgatan and the hospital area, you will find a nice playground. Here is also a discgolf field with nine baskets for those who wish to challenge themselves and train frisbee. For those who would like to exercise tennis on one of the outdoor fields it is possible to book a field at Hässleholm’s Tennisclub.

Eco-friendly and fun in Vena park

This playground, in the western part of the centre of Hässleholm, is the first in Sweden with equipment that is made from recycled plastic.
Here you will find, for example, a larger play boat with various climbing functions, activities for the very youngest, swing set, friend swing, hammocks, accessibility-adapted sandbox with a table at different heights and an obstacle course. There is also an accessibility-adapted picnic table, a barbecue and an obstacle course for the slightly older children.

The fall base is accessibility-adapted and made of natural cork (Corkeen). In order for everyone in the family to know where to put the rubbish after having coffee or lunch in the park, there are source sorting bins with the popular rubbish collection monsters.
