It's easy to get to Hässleholm, no matter whether you come by car, bus or train. Hässleholm is right in the middle of northern Skåne, almost exactly in the centre of Europe. Hässleholm is a natural meeting place thanks to good communications with both the continent and the metropolitan areas of Copenhagen and Stockholm.

Trains

Hässleholm is an important hub in the Öresund region. The frequent train services make commuting to and from Hässleholm easy.

The train to Stockholm takes 3 hours and 45 minutes. Malmö is 45 minutes away. Hässleholm has daily direct connections to Kastrup airport and Copenhagen via the Öresundsbron bridge.

The Öresundstågen train company has frequent services to Vinslöv, Kristianstad, Karlskrona, Lund, Malmö, Helsingborg and Växjö. The Pågatågen train company runs services in all directions from Hässleholm and stops at the stations at  Vinslöv, Sösdala, Ballingslöv, Hästveda, Bjärnum and Vittsjö. The Krösatågen train runs from Hässleholm northwards through Ballingslöv and Hästveda.

Buses

Skånetrafiken runs bus services all over Skåne and also to Hässleholm municipality. The bus station is centrally located in Hässleholm by the railway station/Resecentrum. From there, you can take a city bus to the different parts of the town.

In summer, you can take a prebooked taxi (as a subsitute for
the buses) to some of Hässleholm's popular attractions, that is Hovdala Castle, 7 km south of the town centre and Tykarpsgrottan (the Tykarp´s cave).

Travel with your camper van

If you travel by car, trunk road 21 runs in a west/east direction through Hässleholm municipality. From Markaryd/Vittsjö north of the municipality, you take road 117 to Hässleholm, and from Osby/Växjö road 23. If you are coming from Malmö/Höör in the south, you take road 23 towards Sösdala. In the centre of Hässleholm you have good parking facilities. There is also a long-term parking for you who want to travel on by train from Hässleholm.

Airports

If you want to fly to Hässleholm, the closest airport is Kristianstad Österlen Airport which is about 45 minutes away by car. The flight from Stockholm to Skåne takes about 50 minutes.

Other airports in Skåne are Malmö Airport, Ängelholm-Helsingborg Airport and in the east in Blekinge there is Ronneby Airport.

From abroad, Skåne is within easy reach of Kastrup international
airport in Copenhagen. From here it takes only about 1 1/2 hours

to go by train or by car (over the bridge Öresundsbron)
