Ubbalt Nature Reserve, to the east of Vittsjö, is situated in a picturesque and undulating landscape of ridges and old heath beech woods. The Gundrastorp mill is a historic building located in the nature reserve and situated in a beautiful cultural heritage site. The old parts of the woods, where the beech-trees are well in excess of 100 years old, has an abundance of mosses and lichens, such as lungwort, which is a sign of the clear and healthy air around Vittsjö. The Skåneleden trail passes through the area, and there are several shorter trails that pass by the lake.
